Conceptual Engineering

Conceptual engineering is used to identify the technical and economic viability of a project and sets the guidelines for the development of basic and detailed engineering. It is based on a previous study (feasibility study) and on the definition of the project requirements.

The main concepts to analyze and study at this stage are:

   - Products and production capacity
   - Law and regulation
   - Description of the manufacturing process and user requirements
   - Installation general description
   - Block diagram, distribution of halls, material and people flow plan, classified areas drawings, basic processes diagram
   - Auxiliary services requirements assessment
   - Preliminary Equipment List
   - Estimated economic investment ± 30%
